Even if you’re part of an online community, there will be times when you feel lost in your blogging journey.
You follow every tip from other bloggers, but nothing seems to work.
You’ve been publishing for months or years, and you’re still making only a few dollars a day.
It feels like you’re moving no faster than second gear.
Comparing yourself to others just makes you feel more stuck.
There will be times when you ask yourself, ‘Am I building my blog the right way?’ or ‘What am I doing wrong?’
It’s a frustrating feeling. I know it well. I’ve been there for years.
Hi reader! It’s Eljon, and before we continue, I want to welcome you to my blog, Explore to Thrive. Here, I share my experiences with traveling, reflections on spirituality, personal growth and insights on building an online business, all to make a difference. But my mission goes beyond that. You can learn more about what I do by visiting my homepage.

If this is how you feel today and you feel disheartened, hear me out: it is okay.
Feeling lost is normal. Every content creator experiences it. And if you’ve been in the game for a while and you’re not there yet, you might feel lost more often.
The reason behind this?
Content creation is a journey where you create and follow your own path. Here, you don’t follow someone else’s footsteps; that’s why you sometimes feel like you’re going nowhere.
To me, feeling lost is something you just have to get used to, but it’s not worth overthinking.
That said, there’s nothing wrong with following other creators’ strategies. If something works for them and they share it, why not try it? It can guide you and speed up your progress.
But it won’t always work exactly the same for you. Your passions, strengths, audience, and niche are different. Things could go wrong, and that can make you feel lost too.
It can sting even more when a proven system doesn’t work for you.
When that happens, don’t quit. Keep going.
You’ve got to try again and again. When you fail, learn from it and move forward.
Hit a dead end? Turn around or carve your own path. Make a comeback!
To me, it’s these struggles that make content creation exciting. They give blogging its meaning, especially if you’re striving for some form of greatness in your life.
It’s an adventure in another form.
You explore, embrace unpredictability, and experience personal growth and transformation.
You create a story worth telling along the way.
Appreciating how far you’ve come and looking ahead to your goals keeps you moving forward.
But what’s the real key to overcoming feeling lost or unmotivated? It’s to look back.
Remind yourself why you started in the first place. That reason is your compass. It won’t let you stray into giving up. You know in yourself why you can’t give up.
This is what I do all the time. I even wrote a blog post about why I started blogging.
Halfway through the post, I feel inspired to create content toward my goal again.
Remembering why I started is just one way I keep my blogging spirit alive. You can find the other four in my blog post: “How I Survived Blogging Alone for Years and How You Can Too.”
Here’s my next tip: “Take Short Breaks to Stay Productive and Inspired While Blogging Alone.”

Thank you for reading my post. I hope my reflections and experiences inspire your own personal and spiritual journey. Before you go, if you haven’t explored it yet, stop by my home page where I share more about who I am and my path. See you there!
