My trip to Northern Vietnam was short but seriously unforgettable. On this page, I’ve put together the travel tools/services that actually made it possible. These are my go-to recommendations whenever friends ask for advice.
Day Trip: Ninh Binh from Hanoi
Floating past those towering karst mountains and exploring intricate temples all in one day was exactly the kind of magic we were looking for. It was easily one of the best ways to satisfy that wanderlust (without feeling rushed). You can find more photos and the tour details by clicking the button below.

Transpo: Sleeper Bus Hanoi to Sapa and Back
Sapa is a must-see, and the easiest way to get there is definitely by overnight bus. It’s surprisingly simple: you go to sleep on the bus in the Old Quarter and wake up six hours later in the highlands. It’s efficient, budget-friendly, and ensures you arrive refreshed.

Adventure: Fansipan Round Trip Cable Car
While our visit to Fansipan wasn’t exactly what we expected, there’s no denying how stunning it is when the sky clears. Imagine riding a cable car over terraced rice fields to reach a peak filled with elaborate temples and mountain views. It’s a jam-packed experience that’s worth every second.

Hotel: Bamboo Sapa Hotel
I’m usually happiest deep in the forest or trekking up peaks, but our stay at Bamboo Sapa Hotel was a welcome exception. There’s something about that 180-degree mountain view from an infinity pool that just washes away all your stress. It was the perfect reset before heading back to the daily grind at the office.
