Intro to My Tourist Map of Bohol

When we planned our five-day Central Visayas trip with one day in Bohol and four in Cebu, we barely researched Bohol at all.

We never checked a single map of Bohol. I honestly do not remember reading any travel guides or tips before we left! Here’s what happened instead: weeks before the trip, we figured, “our visit to Bohol is only one day, so let’s not stress about it. Let’s book a tour, and planning is done! Easy peasy.”

As we went on our tour and opened Google Maps to see where we were, I saw there was way more to see in Bohol. It is not just the Chocolate Hills and the tarsiers. There is more to see and enjoy like awesome white beaches and caves on Panglao Island.

I could not believe there were actually rice terraces in Bohol. Nature adventure parks? Yes, those await travelers in Bohol too.

This is the reason why I created this tourist map of Bohol. Should I get another chance to visit the island again, this map will save me a lot of time. It will help me locate the places I missed, the must-see highlights (generally recommended), and the favorite spots (what I recommend to other travelers) I want to revisit.

Bohol island actually has a small sister island called Panglao (right next to it). It is connected to Bohol by a bridge and has some of the most stunning beaches and top hotels. I created a map for Panglao Island to put all the key spots on the map. Check it out!

Between Panglao and Bohol, if you are looking for a place to stay for your trip, I recommend Panglao. There are plenty of beachfront hotels or places within walking distance of the shore. If you prefer staying closer to top attractions, Loboc is the ideal location.
