Taking those crazy adventures, specifically the canyoneering I did at Kawasan Falls, is something my current self is really grateful for when I look back on my younger self in my 20s.

I really appreciate it giving me next level confidence as a new perspective started to click for me. I’ve learned how to trust myself and my abilities more. And my fears? I realized that I can definitely overcome any of them if I give them a real shot.
Between the slide down the cascades, the swing over the turquoise water, and the jump into the canyon, every moment helped mold me into a wiser and stronger person.
Beyond the profound things canyoneering gave me, I truly had fun on the adventure. I was with my friends and I would not have had it any other way.
Hi reader! It’s Eljon, and before we continue, I want to welcome you to my blog, Explore to Thrive. Here, I share my experiences with traveling, reflections on spirituality, personal growth and insights on building an online business, all to make a difference. But my mission goes beyond that. You can learn more about what I do by visiting my homepage.

One member of the team was a very acrophobic and deadpan person, which made for a hilarious combination. Every dry joke she delivered in her thick Batangueno accent or the high pitched, ridiculous screams she let out before she reluctantly jumped into the canyon had me laughing so hard I could barely breathe.
If I were not floating in the water in those moments, you could have seen me rolling on the floor laughing at the spectacle of her monotone sarcasm followed by pure, unadulterated terror.
I will never forget how incredibly fun she made the entire experience. I really miss her and would love to say so many thanks for the unforgettable moments she brought to our trip.
Our canyoneering experience in Kawasan Falls was part of our five day Central Visayas trip that included one day in Bohol, three days in South Cebu, and a final day in Cebu City.
This adventure was the very first thing we did once we arrived in Cebu. And I have to say, our Kawasan experience on our first day in South Cebu was so incredible that it felt like we had already seen the best part of our trip.
That’s why whenever anyone asks for advice on what to do in South Cebu, canyoneering in Kawasan Falls is the first thing I suggest. I typically recommend pairing it with the sardine run in Moalboal and whale shark watching in Oslob.
When I recommend canyoneering in Kawasan Falls, though, I always include what to expect and helpful tips. While we had an unforgettable adventure, you can only truly appreciate the experience with proper preparation and the right expectations.
Let me share the details of our journey so you know what to expect and how to prepare if you decide to go canyoneering in Kawasan Falls too.
